General Manager

As the next in command to the Company Directors the general manager liaises between them and the salon managers to ensure the smooth operation of the salon.

Admin/P.A.

A pivotal role within the salon. As p.a. to the Company Directors,being a decision maker and effective communicator is essential. It is a very varied role which could include liaising with p.r. and reps, collecting data, record keeping, booking keeping and troubleshooting.

Salon Manager

As well as being busy stylists and members of the creative team, the salon managers have added responsibilities in a number of key areas. This chain of command helps to ensure that the large team can function at its optimum best.

Receptionist/Hostess

As the salon is a very busy salon the Hostess/Receptionists are important team members and are highly trained in customer care. Trainee receptionists are enrolled in NVQ courses and have computer skills training. Admin work and cashier duties run alongside the guidance and comfort care of the clients needs, ensuring a smooth and stress free visit for every client.

Training Manager

Our training managers are responsible for the implementation and design of our training plans and development of our team.

Creative Team

Made up from members of the style directors and management and led by the creative directors Charles and Karen and the Art director Rick, this team is at the forefront of fashion. They are regularly asked to attend photo shoots, shows and seminars and work on stage every year at Salon International and Clothes Show live, to name but two. They have won national awards and their work is featured in all the leading magazines.

Style Directors

These are team members who have proved their creative and inspirational talents and aspire to be members of cutting room creatives' creative team. They hone their skills by working hard to promote the salon and themselves throughout the industry, and are instrumental in implementing new and innovative ideas to the rest of the team.

Senior Stylist

Have reached a level of expertise and proficiency in all aspects of hairdressing. A senior stylist will work along side the creative team and are able to assist in the many shows and seminar work which cutting room creative are involved in. They are highly skilled and busy stylists who have a passion for giving the client 110%.

Graduate Stylist

Have completed their training programmes and have achieved a high level of expertise and a place in the cutting room creative salon team. During this stage they hone their skills in readiness for promotion to Senior Stylist.

Trainee Assistants

No previous experience is needed to become enrolled on cutting room creative's extensive training programme. As a modern apprentice, candidates will be trained in house in all aspects of hairdressing skills and enrolled on NVQ Levels I, II and III. A formal apprenticeship with National Hairdressers Federation will also provide certification on successful completion. Our trainees have gone on to become successful Art team members winning national competitions and being involved with photo shoots for national press and show work for both consumers and the industry. They are dedicated and work hard but they have fun and so could you.

Saturday Assistants

Only those interested in a career in hairdressing are offered a placement at cutting room creative. Working alongside our team of assistants each Saturday, occasional evenings and school holidays, they are trained in customer and salon care, then progressing to the art of shampooing and head massage at a later date. Those who show particular aptitude and drive may be offered a place in the salon training programme on completion of school.
