L'Oreal Photo Course

If there’s one thing Charles, Karen and Rick love creating it’s beautiful hair shots. Working together has gained them four British Hairdressing Awards and a regional final position in every L’Oreal Colour Trophy they have entered.

Two years ago the trio in collaboration with L’Oreal started running a course at the L’Oreal Manchester Academy called “Creating the Perfect Photo Shoot.” This two day course covers every organisational detail of creating a photo shoot; from putting together the team to casting the modes. Day two, the academy is re-organised into a studio. Rick comes up from London and the five teams on the course create their own looks on five professional models with help from top make-up artists and London clothes stylists. Shot by Rick these collections are released by the CRC PR company to both industry and consumer press. Enthusiastically printed in no less than The Hairdressers Journal, the collections have been used extensively by the salons on the course with great success in the Colour Trophy. One of the teams, spurred on by the course created his own collection and was a finalist in the British Hairdressing Awards in his very first attempt.
